Workshop with GARY LAMB •  8:30 am to 12:00 pm: Saturday, Sept. 26

Part Two: Reviewing some passages from “On the Wings of Words”that are related to inner capacities and ways of relating that we need to develop in order to engage in higher level civil discourse about American politics. These passages will be on the Branch website and/or sent to you in advance if you register for the event. We will consider in our Café circles a question or two related to current American politics.

In preparation for Gary’s visit, and for full participation in the two events, the reading of On The Wings of Words is recommended. It is available through SteinerBooks. steinerbooks.org / There is a digital and a printed copy available.

Biography: Gary Lamb is currently the director of the Hawthorne Valley Center for Social Research and its Ethical Technology Initiative. He has worked in the fields of building construction, medical technology, and manufacturing, as well as served in the school development and admissions offices and taught economics in the Hawthorne Valley Waldorf high school. His books include On The Wings of Words,  A Road to Sacred Creation: Rudolf Steiner’s Perspectives on Technology, Volume 1 (Volume 2 published soon), The Social Mission of Waldorf Education, Wellsprings of the Spirit, and Associative Economics—last three published by Waldorf Publications. He also edited Steinerian Economics with Sarah Hearn (Mecca), a compendium of Rudolf Steiner’s views on economics published by Adonis Press.
