Saturday Morning Pastels with Jan Kees Saltet

In lecture 5 of a 1923 series of lectures to teachers, “The Child’s Changing Consciousness …” (CW 306), Rudolf Steiner talks about the effect of working with “color perspective”. This means getting a sense of the “push and pull” of different colors, their relative strength and intensity, their nuances. He says there: “These color experiences will stimulate mobility in the child’s mental imagery, suppleness in feelings, and flexibility in the will activities. The child’s entire soul life will become more sensitive and pliable.”

In the hopes that this might become a tangible experience for others as well, I offer nine Saturday mornings to work with pastels.

9 Saturdays, February 28 – April 25. 10:00am – 12:00 NOON

Hartsbrook School High School Art Room

Payment: sliding-scale $10 —$25 per session. Come when you can. No experience necessary!
